Everett, Wash., Oct. 27, 2026 — Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) announces the appointment of Dylan Sluder, State Government Affairs Manager at the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS), as Co-Chair of EASC's Advocacy Committee. Sluder will lead the committee alongside current Co-Chair Wendy Weiker of Republic Services.
Sluder succeeds Robert Knoll of Puget Sound Energy, who has stepped down as Co-Chair following his appointment as Chair of EASC's Board of Trustees. Knoll will remain an active member of the Advocacy Committee.
The Advocacy Committee brings together business, industry, and community leaders to shape EASC's public policy priorities and to represent the interests of Snohomish County employers at the local, state, and federal levels. With the 2027 legislative session approaching, the committee will play a central role in developing and advancing EASC's legislative agenda in Olympia and Washington, D.C.
"Dylan brings a deep understanding of the policy issues that shape our region's growth, especially housing, land use, and infrastructure, along with strong working relationships across Snohomish County," says Ray Stephanson, President and CEO of Economic Alliance Snohomish County. “Housing is economic development, and having Dylan's perspective at the head of our Advocacy Committee will strengthen our ability to speak with one voice for Snohomish County businesses. I also want to thank Robert Knoll for his leadership as Co-Chair. He has been a tireless advocate for this community, and we are fortunate to have him guiding EASC as Board Chair while continuing to lend his expertise to the committee.”
“I’m honored to take on this role and work alongside Wendy and the many business and community leaders committed to Snohomish County’s future,” says Sluder. “Housing affordability, infrastructure, workforce development, and a strong business climate are all interconnected, and addressing these challenges requires collaboration and practical solutions. I look forward to helping advance policies that support local businesses, create economic opportunity, and ensure Snohomish County has a strong voice in Olympia and Washington, D.C.”
