We’re pleased to announce that a special keynote address from Joe Nguyễn, Director of the Washington State Department of Commerce and presentation of the 2025 Snohomish Awards will cap off the Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) annual meeting on April 22nd at the Tulalip Resort Casino.

“This is an opportunity to bring our business community together to focus on the future of economic growth in Snohomish County,” said EASC President and CEO Ray Stephanson. “Director Nguyễn’s leadership and vision will offer valuable perspectives on how we can navigate change, embrace innovation, and position our region for long-term success.”

An Innovative Vision

Having kicked off his tenure in January, Nguyễn now leads a 750-person team that’s been entrusted with overseeing 100 programs designed to strengthen various communities within the state.

His keynote will provide critical insights into trade uncertainties, federal policy shifts, and the rise of emerging industries such as fusion, quantum computing, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and hydrogen. It will also include a discussion of strategies for strengthening Washington’s trade relationships, leveraging federal investments and fostering public-private partnerships to keep the state’s economy globally competitive.

The former state senator has a background rich in leadership, having served as Chair of the Environment, Energy and Technology Committee, Vice Chair of the budget-writing Ways and Means Committee, and a seat on the Human Services Committee

Presentation of Snohomish Awards

During the meeting, we’ll also recognize our outstanding business and community leaders with the presentation of the 2025 Snohomish Awards: the Henry M. Jackson Award, John M. Fluke Sr. Award, Elson S. Floyd Award, and Opportunity Lives Here Award.

“There are many inspiring individuals and businesses in Snohomish whose tireless dedication plays a critical role in shaping our region’s future. It’s an honor to have their efforts recognized during this signature event,” said Stephanson.

The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m in the Orca Ballroom. Tickets are $95 and include lunch. Click here to purchase. A discount is available for EASC investors.
