Is there an outstanding business or organization in Snohomish County that has made a significant impact on our region? Can you think of an individual whose diligence and leadership has helped create a better community for all of us?
Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) wants your help in recognizing five community stakeholders who are unrelenting in their drive to encourage vitality and positive growth throughout our area!
“We invite you to make your nominations for the 2025 Snohomish County Awards before the February 28th deadline,” said CEO Ray Stephanson. “There are many inspiring individuals and businesses in Snohomish whose tireless dedication plays a critical role in shaping our region’s future. It’s an honor to have their efforts recognized during this signature event.”
A Spirit of Community
Nominations can be made for any of the following four awards:
The Henry M. Jackson Award
Named for the former U.S. senator from Everett. The award was established in 1977 and honors someone who demonstrates exemplary service to the community and is committed to the business interests of the region. This individual drives local, state, and regional initiatives for business, promotes civic, social and cultural programs, and participates in programs that expand the potential and quality of life in the county.
The John M. Fluke Sr. Award
Named for the founder of the Fluke Corp., the industrial test measurement company in Everett. The award is given out annually to an individual who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, and business and community leadership coupled with significant community contribution and commitment. It was established in 1970.
The Elson S. Floyd Award
Named for the former Washington State University president who played a key role in establishing the WSU Everett campus, the award aims to honor a visionary leader. Through partnership, tenacity and a strong commitment to community, the individual will have created lasting opportunities, especially for those who have traditionally been under-served, that improve the quality of life and positively impact the trajectory of the regional economy.
Opportunity Lives Here Award
Recognizes an organization that brings innovation and creates opportunities locally and regionally.
The winners will be honored during the EASC’s Annual Meeting & Awards Celebration on Tuesday, April 22nd, at the Tulalip Resort Casino. The event is presented by Boeing and Banner Bank, as well as the following sponsors: North South Media, HeraldMedia, Marysville, Tulalip Tribes Charitable Contributions and Port of Everett.
