The opening of Boeing’s 737 MAX North Line in Everett in July 2026 represents a significant economic development win for Everett & Snohomish County. It stabilizes long-term employment while reducing dependence on a single aircraft program.

Increased activity at Everett creates additional opportunities for the hundreds of aerospace suppliers, machine shops, logistics firms, engineering companies, and technical service providers throughout Snohomish County. The North Line also creates hundreds of family-wage careers for trained mechanics, electricians, quality inspectors, engineers, and support personnel.

The North Line ensures that future investments, workforce development programs, and supplier relationships continue to flow into the county. This helps local companies remain competitive and encourages aerospace-related businesses to expand or locate in Snohomish County

For Everett and Snohomish County, this creates the potential for:

  • Additional aerospace employment growth
  • Increased supplier activity
  • Greater local tax revenue
  • Continued private investment in aerospace infrastructure
  • Expanded workforce training partnerships with local schools and colleges

These benefits position the region to remain one of the most important aerospace manufacturing centers in the world. For a community that has been intertwined with Boeing for more than five decades, the arrival of 737 production in Everett represents both a historic milestone and a promising signal for the future.
