Sam’s legal career began at the Cook County Public Defender’s Office in Chicago. In 2015, she relocated to the Pacific Northwest and joined the Snohomish County Public Defender Association. Demonstrating rapid professional growth, Sam transitioned from handling misdemeanors to taking on felony cases, including appellate work and involuntary treatment cases.
Her expertise meets the rigorous indigent defense standards, qualifying her to defend clients in cases ranging from homicides to Class A, B, and C felonies, as well as sex offenses. Additionally, Sam is a member of the federal bar, practicing in the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington.
In 2019, Sam broadened her experience at the Mazzone Law Firm, mentored by the esteemed Pete Mazzone. During her four-year tenure, she secured not-guilty verdicts across a spectrum of charges, including domestic violence, sex offenses, and homicide. Her strategic prowess was further evident in her ability to develop comprehensive mitigation packages, successfully negotiating reduced sentences for her clients.
With nearly a decade of criminal defense experience, Sam embraced entrepreneurship and launched her own law firm in March 2023, marking a new chapter in her distinguished legal journey.
