Granite Falls provides a rural living environment for people who prefer living outside the growing urban areas in Snohomish County.  First settled in 1884, the City now has a population of 3,900 people, with an estimated population of 11,000 in the immediate outlying area of the town.  Granite Falls is the Gateway to the Mountain Loop, which is known for many outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, camping, sledding, among other activities.
