Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) proudly invites you to the 2026 Annual Meeting, Economic Forecast & Snohomish County Awards. Presented by Boeing, and in partnership with Tulalip Resort Casino, Herald Media, North Sound Media, City of Marysville, Washington State University Everett, this event brings together business leaders, policymakers, and community stakeholders to reflect on a year of impactful work driving economic vitality in Snohomish County.

Annual Meeting
As the largest economic development agency in the county and the state-appointed Associate Development Organization (ADO), EASC plays a vital role in strengthening the region’s economy through business attraction, retention, and expansion, workforce talent development, and advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels.
The event highlights EASC's accomplishments over the past year, showcasing initiatives that support startups, connect businesses to government contracting opportunities, and foster global trade through export assistance. The 2026 Economic Forecast will be presented by Hart Hodges, Director of Western Washington University's Center for Economic and Business Research, a leading voice on regional economic trends across Washington state. With extensive experience analyzing economic conditions and advising policymakers, businesses, and communities, Hodges brings a data-driven and practical perspective on the forces shaping local economies.
This year's forecast will provide timely insights into the regional, state, and national trends influencing businesses in Snohomish County. Attendees will gain expert analysis on key indicators including workforce trends, housing and commercial development, trade and supply chains, interest rates, and sector-specific outlooks impacting aerospace, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, maritime, and technology.

David Ruiz serves as Delegate for the Québec Government Office in Seattle, where he leads efforts to strengthen economic, governmental and institutional relationships between Québec and the U.S. Pacific Northwest. With a background in international relations, public policy and economic diplomacy, he brings deep expertise in cross-border trade, investment attraction and strategic partnerships across key sectors including aerospace, clean technology and maritime.
Ruiz will offer a global perspective on the growing economic ties between Québec and Snohomish County—two regions with shared strengths in innovation-driven industries. His remarks will highlight the importance of U.S.–Canada collaboration in strengthening supply chains and advancing clean energy solutions.
Drawing on his experience fostering bilateral partnerships, Ruiz will provide insight into how international collaboration can unlock new opportunities for businesses and communities like Snohomish County. His keynote will underscore the value of cross-border relationships in driving regional competitiveness, resilience and long-term economic vitality.
