Join Economic Alliance Snohomish County for the 2025 Healthcare Summit on Wednesday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Washington State University Everett.
Presented by Optum, Kaiser Permanente and Premera Blue Cross, and in partnership with North Sound Media, this annual event brings together healthcare leaders, providers, educators, policymakers, and industry partners to discuss the most pressing challenges and emerging opportunities in Snohomish County and the broader North Puget Sound region.
This year’s summit will focus on critical topics including workforce shortages, behavioral health access, health equity, the future of virtual care, and the potential impacts of major federal policy changes.

Meet the Public Panel Speakers
The 2025 Healthcare Summit features a distinguished panel of leaders representing healthcare delivery, innovation, and education across Snohomish County and the greater North Puget Sound region. Together, they will address the future of healthcare in our community, highlighting both the challenges we face and the opportunities to build a more resilient system.

Health Officer, Snohomish County Health Department
Dr. Lewis provides public health leadership for Snohomish County, overseeing efforts to protect and promote the health of all residents. With a background in preventive medicine and population health, he brings a broad perspective on how policy, systems, and community health intersect.
Dr. Mila Sprouse, EdD, MSN, RN, CCRN, NE-BC
Dr. Sprouse is a nursing executive and educator at Providence Swedish, one of the region’s largest healthcare providers. She offers perspective on the critical role of nursing, workforce development, and strategies to recruit and retain healthcare professionals.
Dr. David Russian, MD, FCCP
Western Washington Medical Group
A practicing physician and leader within Western Washington Medical Group, Dr. Russian has extensive experience in clinical practice and healthcare delivery. He will share insights on provider challenges and opportunities in serving a growing regional population.
Dr. Kristen M. Wyrick, MD
Dr. Wyrick represents Optum, a leader in integrated healthcare services. She brings expertise in patient-centered care, clinical innovation, and the evolving role of technology in improving outcomes and access.
Dr. Amit Singh, MA, MBA, MS, PhD
President, Edmonds College
Dr. Singh has been invited to join the panel to bring an educational perspective. Under his leadership, Edmonds College has expanded degree and training offerings to meet workforce needs in healthcare and other critical industries.
Dr. Trina Joy Davis, MD
Dr. Davis is a physician leader with Kaiser Permanente, focusing on integrated care models and innovative approaches to healthcare delivery. Her expertise includes advancing equity, improving patient experience, and supporting sustainable care systems.
