Coffee Chats - Survey Insights on Childcare & Early Learning in Snohomish County
Details
Description
Join Economic Alliance Snohomish County for an important conversation on the state of childcare and early learning in our region. In this August installment of Coffee Chats, expert panelists will unpack findings from a new survey conducted by the Snohomish County Early Learning Coalition—part of a broader effort to improve coordination across the early learning system. With input from nearly 500 residents, including families and childcare providers across all corners of the county, the survey highlights the most pressing barriers to accessing high-quality, affordable childcare.
We’ll also revisit results from a 2024 Snohomish STEM Network survey of local employers that underscores how the childcare shortage is impacting the workforce and business operations. Together, we’ll explore how better-aligned childcare policies—and stronger cross-sector collaboration—can support economic development, strengthen our workforce, and meet the needs of both providers and families.
Whether you're a business leader, policymaker, parent, or provider, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
