Economic Alliance Snohomish County (EASC) works to be an informational resource, whether you are a startup company, a small growing company, a family owned operation, or a large corporation. We also provide a substantial array of events to inform, educate, and connect businesses at all levels to the information and resources they need to be successful. It is our goal to be a useful resource to help locate the information you need. Small Business Programs

Economic Alliance Snohomish County proudly hosts three strong, in-house programs, providing free services to small businesses. Two of them support efforts with government contracting (PTAC & SBTRC) and the third program provides technical support to entrepreneurs and business owners who are starting or wish to grow their businesses (SBDC).

Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)

ptac-2013As part of the Washington State PTAC, our office provides government contracting support for small businesses in Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, and Island counties. The Department of Defense supports this resource, with major funding provided by Economic Alliance Snohomish County. The objective of PTAC is to help businesses successfully compete in federal, state and local government contracting. Services include: training and workshops, one-on-one counseling, assistance with registrations, certifications and marketing, interpretations of solicitations, specifications, standards and drawings, and computerized Bid Match service. Small Business Transportation Resource Center (SBTRC)

6093859249_fee6bd9c11_zThe objective of SBTRC is to increase the number of small and disadvantaged businesses that are prepared to compete for, and enter into, transportation-related prime and subcontracts.  The Northwest SBTRC is funded by a cooperative agreement with Economic Alliance Snohomish County and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU). Small Business Development Center (SBDC)

The Washington Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) promotes economic vitality within Snohomish County communities to existing businesses and entrepreneurs by providing confidential, objective business advice at no cost to small business owners; assembling resources to help clients answer the questions unique to their situation; guiding clients through the discovery and implementation process and helping clients make informed decisions that preserve or create wealth.
