What is the Edge of Amazing?

The Edge of Amazing is a community health summit bringing together people from organizations, across Snohomish County to improve community health and health equity. This conference sheds light on the amazing work happening around the county, while bringing sectors together who wouldn’t normally mingle, as a way to begin breaking down silos and building collaborative partnerships.

This years’ conference will focus on three areas that matter most to the community and past attendees, according to surveys: mental/emotional and spiritual health, security and basic needs, connections and relationships.

We also selected themes for how the information will be presented. These are also based on past attendee feedback.

Engagement: What is happening at a community level and how can our neighbors connect into our work.

Change: What practical steps can be taken to move our work forward?

Collaborations: How can the many sectors in a community create effective collaborations to break down barriers?

Keynote Presentations

We are thrilled to announce Dr. John Medina will be joining us, as we embrace our “Courage 2 Care”.

Dr. Medina is a developmental molecular biologist, research consultant and author of “Brain Rules” and “Brain Rules for Baby” and we’re excited to hear his take on The Mind of a Healthy Community.

Also joining us is Ben Miller, Chief Policy Officer, Well Being Trust and Senior Advisor, Farley Health Policy Center at University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Ben is dedicated to connecting advancements in healthcare and well being to policies, and you know what he has learned? The Power of Relationships will Transform Health.
